Gathered at the club around 5.00pm today were the winners from the Grants Whiskey Corner to Corner weekly competition and tonight, from that group, a winner to go to the area competition would be found.
As it turned out, only 10 of the 12 winners were available.
In the first round, each of the 10 participants played two bowls and the closest 12 bowls went into the next round.
This new group then played and the top 6 bowls only went into the last round – again, only one thing to do, keep your bowl on the green and get closest to the corner.
Plenty of support from the sideline and finally a big cheer for Omeka Feaunati who was declared the winner.
