The sun was out but not a lot of players for today’s mini gala. It was a chance to get some fresh air and some good company and sixteen members took the opportunity.
The green didn’t please everybody and for some, was (perhaps) the reason that their bowls were not up to their usual standard. Certainly, they could have done with mowing and rolling but after a few ends of us changing ends during the game, it was OK for most to get their bowls near the Jack.
After three games of six ends, (a stop after the second for a cup of tea) we were able to catch up with the weekends events before the results were announced.

A Mixed Triples Gala on Wednesday and the Champion of Champion Triples (to be played at Otaki) will be the highlights for the coming week. Time for all to loosen up.
