He nearly did it! Murray, in his last year as a Junior, played in the Junior Champion of Champion Singles on the Central Levin green and reached the semifinals. A very creditable effort and we congratulate him.
At our club, ten teams took part in a 2x4x2 gala, played in fine weather and on our great cotula green. The results after the four games:

- 2nd Ian Wenham & Susan Boxall – 3 wins and 24 ends
- 3rd Fred Adams & Coral Mills – 3 wins and 21 ends.
