The ditch around the cotula green has been cleared and levelled ready for the cover that will be inserted. The ditch surrounding the artificial green has Earlier received a cover and it has proved to be ideal. Any bowls landing in the ditch after a heavy delivery, remain there and don’t bounce back onto the green or wander sideways.
The material was placed below the Dales carpet and any left over has proved ideal for a ditch cover.
The rubber material has been rolled out by the ditch so that strips can be cut to the necessary width and once that has been done, it will be placed right around the green.
Also today, soil has been sieved in the shed and will be ready for use when needed.
Meanwhile, the sun had brought out a good muster to play 2x4x2 in the afternoon roll-up. Another good club day.
