It just had to happen and this afternoon it did, the sun was out and it was really hot..yes HOT, not just warm.
In the photo you can just seen the Tararua Range with not a cloud in sight and looking a long way away.
Things didn’t look too good at first; when we arrived we saw that the boards were out around green 1 whereas we all presumed that with the cotula marked out for play, that would be where we would play. A phone call to the Green Superintendent soon sorted out the matter and the boards etc were set up on Green 2.
It played very well and so did our two teams, winning both of their 10 end games – perhaps local knowledge!!
We welcomed our other two teams back on their return from the Waitarere Beach Club with our news and were told by them that they had won two of their four games.
So it was 6 out of 8 games won and it will be interesting to see where we are now placed in the competition.
