A sunny Sunday saw the completion of the Club’s Championship Fours.
In the morning, 3 men’s games were played and resulting from them, Trevor Tuatara’s team was the only one to go into the post-section games. A draw was then made and saw Neville receiving a further bye leaving Fred and Trevor to play the semi final which ended in a win for Fred.
The women’s semi-final was also played and saw Susan Boxall’s team win their game against Eileen Thorne’s team.

The two women’s teams had met in an earlier game but the results in the final saw a reversal to what happened then. Now Dianne and her players took out the win and the Championship 19-13. Well done.
The men also had a good battle but Fred’s team came out the winner 15-9.
The opposing skip, Neville, told me that Fred and his team had played really well and mentioned how Fred had often got his team out of some very difficult situations. Also as the game progressed, Rex also played really well, and over all, the winning team deserved their win. Congratulations .
