Hard to believe that the sun was shining today; their was a little warmth in the air and the Tararuas could be seen without any cloud about. Seemed like a record to us down on the green.
In my game, it really wasn’t a club record, but certainly great to see when our two leads came to life around the same time. Ian, was bowling steadily but his opponent was finding it difficult to get up to the Jack.
Once we came out after our cup of tea, both leads showed us some skills as can be seen in the photo.
Not really a record, but good to see.
But another record (of sorts) was achieved this afternoon during our roll-up, a record that was only broken recently by Neville when he did his first wrong bias after playing bowls for so many years. (recorded in June 21st Blog)
Barry Cross, playing as a skip, also was another who had not fallen into the mistake of making such an error, but this afternoon, a wrong bias left his hand for the first time.
Perhaps he was still upset about making such a mistake, but it did happen, another wrong bias left his hand setting a sort of new record.
Too much sun perhaps was the cause of this lack of concentration.
Barry, deep in thought.
Is the car blushing in the background?
