Green Keepers from Bowls New Zealand, Region Two, held a Forum at our club today.
There were around 70 visitors present, arriving early, to start their day after a welcoming cup of tea.
Our Green Keeper, Neville Turnbull welcomed them and then a full programme got underway. This covered both indoor and outdoor subjects and in the afternoon, visits were made to Levin Women’s, Central Bowling Club, RSA green and a final green walk on our cotula green.
I had a brief chat with a few of the participants and all indicated that they had had a most interesting and informative day. Certainly, we should all be proud of the condition of our greens.
To complete the day, the sun came out in the afternoon, just to remind us all that summer will soon be here.
