It was sad to hear that Pam May, bowler and wife of the late Bob May, passed away today.
It was back in October, 1980, that Pam and Bob both joined the club as new members and remained associated with us for so long as bowlers. In later years after Bob’s passing in 1996, Pam continued her activities both on and off the greens, finally becoming an Honorary Member in recent times.
As it happened, I joined the club at the same time as Bob and Pam and with all members, I enjoyed their company for a long time.
It will seem strange not to see her down at the club after so many years; a sad parting for all who knew her.
