Cotula Green Flooded

Overnight we had heavy rain and in the morning, there seemed to be no letup of the conditions.
It was about lunch time when my wife asked the usual Saturday question, “You off to bowls this afternoon.”
It seemed a silly question but when I finally looked outside after sitting behind the blinds in my office, I found out that the sun was out and a roll-up would be possible.

On arriving at the club near 1.00pm I soon noticed that others had come to the same decision and a roll-up did take place. By afternoon tea time one soon noticed that jackets weren’t needed by most. (some of us are still a bit cautious as to what one should wear.)

It is certainly a very good thing that we can use our artificial green during the winter months and we made use of it once again. In this case, even though it had had water on it after heavy rain, it soon disappeared in no time at all and play got started.

So noticeable that the artificial green in the background had no water on it.

One can see the artificial green ready for use in the afternoon.
The ‘calm’ water certainly holds a clear reflection.
