Another Wednesday Gala today but it was quite a decision that had had to be made as to whether play was a good idea.
Quite a mixture of weather, overnight rain, very cold in the morning with snow on the Tararuas but players still turned up, not put off by anything, and play got started as usual at 11.00am.
I called down to the club this afternoon just to see if play was taking place and there they were, the nearly full green with wrapped up bowlers playing their last game for the day.
I was interested in seeing a row of sparrows sitting on a line from the street to the clubhouse, using it to watch the games. Mind you, it might just have been the aerial near them that was in someway, giving them some TV viewing. When we saw them, there were quite a group, interested in the games.
