Going into the final round today we were one win behind Central but also behind on differential. However they had a bye which meant if we won all three games today and they lost one we were the champions. Central lost both their games so in the end we only needed one win and a draw from our three games. We won the singles but lost the pairs so it was down to our Fours who hadn’t registered a lost. In a very tight game we went down but only after the last bowl was played. The final Interclub result came down to differential as four Clubs were on 20 points. It’s the closed result in the Interclub since I started 13 years ago. With a superior differential Central Levin won.
It was a great result for our club and proves we have the players to win interclub in all divisions. Congratulations on the fours team that played magnificently, winning 5 out of six, even though you lost a close one today you gave us a chance of victory.
