Levin Bowling Club has found their Triples Winners for 2016. Two strong teams meet in the Women’s final and it would have been a close match if not for Margaret Griffin’s brilliant draw bowling. She was helped by team mates Susan Boxall and Julie Stichbury and although the score indicated it wasn’t a tight match it certainly was. Beaten finalists was Bronwyn McMahon, Diana McGill and Ginny Williams. It was a pleasing result for Margaret as she had been the brides maid twice in this event in recent years.
The men’s final was very tight with the lead changing hands through out the game however Pat Wikstrom, Joe Wynk and Colin Donnelly drop a four at the business end and didn’t recover losing by a mere two points. Congratulations to John Adams, Paul Gardner and Stacy Thomas.
The club wishes both teams in the Champion of Champions.
