As balloted events are different, ie you only add your name not your team, I’ve had to write more code to allow us to enter these events online. The online registering for all types of events are now completed. The advantages of online registering for events is that you don’t need to be at the club to know who is actually in the event, who are spare players which will help our members when trying to make up teams. Also a plea for our many new members, if you haven’t been asked to join a team please add yourself as a spare player in the different events. This will help you in two ways, either you can make up a team from the spare players or other teams looking for a player will know you are available.
The entering of events online will not suit everyone and I’m expecting a gradual uptake by our members so there will be the need to continuing using the paper sheets in the club for many years yet.
