A sunny day with no wind greeted players for the first day of the Champion of Champion Triples at Otaki.
Both our teams missed out on the byes so it was straight into action at 9.00am.
Our men’s team were keeping pace with their opponents from Waikanae, but with the score at 5 all, they dropped a 6, a serious set back that they were not able to make up, finally going down 10-17.

Teams that have reached the quarter finals to play off tomorrow are Raumati South, Otaki, Waitarere Beach and Waikanae.
Our ladies had a real battle throughout their game against Levin Women’s with Carrell Knight, killing at least 4 ends when things were against them. On the second to last end, our team were holding shots to put them into the lead but Carrell reduced it to only two points. This left Coral, Alice and Margaret needing 2 points to win the match on the final end, but were unable to do this, with the final score being 16-14 to Levin Ladies.
