Many of today’s players had listened to the weather forecast and came prepared for stormy conditions. Instead it was like playing in summer, no jerseys or jackets, even sleeves rolled up, to enjoy a really pleasant day.
We had a full green and we were pleased to welcome two teams from Shannon, one from Central and a composite team from down south.
Evidence of the sunshine can be seen in these two photos that I took around three in the afternoon, both showing the shadows thrown by players because of the low afternoon sun.
