The cards used to sort the players into a different Pairs combination were used this afternoon and made some interesting teams.
It had been planned to play 3 games of 6 ends each but because they were completed relatively early, a further game was held. One never knew how each game would turn out and perhaps it was because some played in a ‘festive’ frame of mind, wrong biases seemed to be a part of the day and were noted by Fred. He made sure contributions were made to the special box.
There had to be some winners and they were as follows:
SKIPS:
1st Fred Adams, the only 4 winner (One wonders who he had for partners in the four games or di he do it allby himself?)
2nd Coral Mills with 3 wins, 17 ends and 28 points
3rd Ian Wenham with 3 wins, 14 ends and 32 points
LEADS:
1st Paul Gardner with 3 wins, 16 ends and 30 points
2nd Alice Spicer with 3 wins, 14 ends and 24 points
3rd Bill Clelland with 2 wins, 13 ends and21 points
An enjoyable afternoon and perhaps could feature more in our club’s bowling calendar.
