Saturday certainly was not a day for playing bowls with all the rain that fell over night and play was postponed early.
Sunday morning saw Ken Hayward and Barry Cross lose their game against the Paekakariki pair but our women (Ann Malone and Christine Ryan) had a bye in the first round and won their next round match against Raumati South 27-20. Their next game was to be against Kapiti but the weather again intervened.
The Centre has now scheduled further play in the Pairs to take place after the Fours finals at Waitarere Beach on Sunday April 3rd. We wish you the best, Ann and Christine.
(Have just heard that Christine was unable to play on Sunday because of work commitments and Margaret MacKay was her replacement.. So now it is “All the best, Ann and Margaret.”)
