What once was a quiet time of the year for bowls now sees plenty of activity both on and off the green.
Another fine Thursday saw another good turn out for the afternoon roll-up. You wouldn’t call it tropical even though the sun was out for the early part of the afternoon and it certainly became quite cold near the end of play. Pays to be well wrapped up.
The green was running well and the No 2 cotula green is looking first class and promises to be great for the sunnier season.
The weather forecast for the weekend is not promising and could make the Mixed Fours Championship an on and off affair. Eight teams only have entered.
