It was to be played earlier in the season but because of bad weather, the Veterans’ Gala was rescheduled to today. Not the largest turnout but all seemed to be enjoying their games on the cotula green.
I only saw some of the play but was lucky enough to see that Rex had one of his bowls right near the Jack. Something to be proud of, so I got him to indicate his bowl and I would take a photo to show his skill to the world!!
So above is the photo and it clearly shows Rex and his red bowl. I noticed also the smile on his opponents face, Ian, and have since found out what had really happened. Rex’s bowl had been originally short and got to its present position by being knocked up. (I suspect that it was Ian’s bowl that had done the moving)
Still a good shot, Rex. We all, like you, have positioned our bowls so that they could be moved by an opponent to a scoring position. Quite a clever ploy.
