Over Thursday nights since the end of this season’s Business House bowls, bowling evenings have been held at the club as a followup for those keen on further playing of the game.
Tonight, a competition was held of 2 bowls, 2 ends Singles and this proved not only a challenge but an enjoyable competition for these players. It was run on the two life system and it was interesting to see how well these players had developed their bowling skills. Club members acted as markers, Neville T organised the competition and the overall ‘Chief’ of these nights, Brian C, acted as the commentator as games were played.
The final was held between Mark and Jim. On the first end Mark scored 2 with his bowls and on the crucial second end, Jim only managed to get one point so the competition ended with Mark the winner.
Special thanks must go to all from the club who helped in one way or another. It was obvious that their efforts had helped to make the series so popular and it was evident tonight how much they enjoyed the game and the evenings.
