Today saw the final played between the two Junior Women’s teams to find this season’s Champion Pair.
The two teams were Jan and Julie and Diana and Ginny. A round-robin system was used and In their first game the former lost 9-21 but in the return match, the result was reversed with Jan and Julie winning. As a result, a final game was played and the winner of the Championship was Jan and Julie with the final score at 19-10.

The three Junior Men’s Pairs, Ian and Bill, Jim and Robert and Ken and John also played in a round-robin system.
Games were played between each of the teams and the final game ended up between Robert and Jim playing Bill and Ian.
This proved to be a very close match and with only one end left to play, the score was close at 14-12.
Things were very tight when jim was left to play his last bowl. On the head were two shots for Ian and Bill and it looked as though an extra end would be needed.
Jim sent his last bowl off down the green and it hit the head removing one of Bill’s shots, leaving the final score at 14-13 to the Championship winners, Jim and Robert . A close and exciting finish.
