Play got started on the cotula green at 9.00am this morning, the weather fine.
Six women’s teams were entered but with 11 men’s teams in the draw, there was a bye made in each round. This made some confusion on how this was to be organised and in the end, only three rounds were played.Further study on the best way to organise such a situation might well be looked at again.

Dianne Short to play Margaret Griffin
The result of these two games results in the final being played.
Men’s Draw:
First Round.
Murray Griffin to play Neville Turnbull.
Larry Auckram to play Pat Wikstrom
The two winners play each other in the next round and we then find one finalist.
Rob Cotter and Keith Galloway both have a bye in Round 1 and play each other in Round two.
That gives us the other finalist.
The day should be fine, the results should also be fine, and discussion re the event should also end up fine.
