Today saw the final afternoon for this season’s Rotary, organised by Roy James throughout the season from the RSA Bowling Club and with Rob Cotter running the final today at our club. The sun played its part, though we could all note the autumn coolness being present.
On each occasion, Rotary days are played at two different clubs, but today, all games were played at Levin Bowls.
An earlier start today, 12.30 pm and both greens were used for the two rounds of 10 ends.
The Tararuas in the background, the club flag flying and players can be seen on the artificial green.
The cotula green was also in use with the clubrooms and tool shed in the background.
Two games of 10 ends followed each other and at the conclusion of play, a special afternoon tea was available. Thanks to the helpers in the kitchen, appreciated as always.
Roy checked the results of all games and was able to announce the season’s winner – the Levin Club.

This was the final day of another Rotary season and though some clubs seem to have difficulty in getting available players, it still seems to be a popular event, giving all the opportunity to take part in a competitive competition at various clubs.
