The Kapiti Coast men’s Open fours was played last weekend at Central Levin. The field was smaller than usual and only Kerry Geertson and Dave Scrivener‘s teams made it through to the last 16. the team of Dave Scrivener (s), Brian Cooper, Bill Clelland and Roy Dickson reached the final where they came against a strong composite team skipped by Ray Boffa. Dave’s team made a good start to the final but in the end were unable to match the efforts of Ray’s Paraparaumu Beach composite team and went down 11 – 16. It was Ray’s 33 rd centre title and a great effort from Dave’s team.
The exciting thing for the club is that these guys will be representing Kapiti Coast Centre at the National play offs due to the fact the winning team is a composite team.
