Tuesday was a busy day on the cotula green. Green superman Arne Jansson and his team of helpers spread a load of topsoil and fertilizer and Green consultant Mike Hearsey used his small tractor and leveling and spreading gear to distribute the product evenly across the green. Prior to this the green had been vert-drained to help drainage and aerate the roots of the cotula plants.
The photo shows Mike on his tractor spreading the fertilizer while on the Dales carpet green a good turnout of roll up players were enjoying their games – and complaining a bit about the fertilizer dust heading their way on the westerly.
