Board Chairman Guy Diston also made a special award recognizing an Outstanding Contribution to the Sport of Bowls to Graham Fairburn of the Waikanae club in recognition of over 50 years of service to bowls. Guy ended the presentations by thanking the organizing committee led by Neville Turnbull for his vision in organizing the event after which those present enjoyed a super afternoon tea and socializing.
