Yesterday was a long bowling day, especially for members of the Men’s Reserve 7’s Team.
Up at around 6.00am for breakfast etc so that we could meet at our bowling club prior to heading off to take part in the final round of Interclub at the Waikanae Beach Bowling Club.
Once there it was soon into playing the first of the 3 games of 18 ends, finally finishing so that we arrived back in Levin around 5.30pm.
It was our team’s aim to do well enough so that we could finish in the top four overall.
Up till now, I haven’t heard where we are placed but our results from yesterday were as follows:
Reserve 7’s
Game 1 v’s Raumati South: Singles – Win, Pairs Win, Fours – Loss
Game 2 v’s Paraparaumu Beach : Singles – Win, Pairs – Draw, Fours – Loss
Game 3 v’s Kapiti: Singles – Win, Pairs – Draw, Fours – Draw.
Note that the Fours did get a bonus point for one of the losses being less than 5 points.
Not so long a day for our Mens Super 7 team which played its Interclub games at Central Levin.
This team also had high hopes of getting into the final top 4 and it would appear that they have achieved that.
They won all three of their games against Kapiti, but lost their next three against Paraparaumu.
The last round saw our Singles player win his game which apparently guaranteed the top 4 placing for the team so the Pairs and Fours didn’t bother to complete their games.
Let’s hope that the calculations were correct!!
Back at the club I noticed that new information boards have been put up on the clubroom’s outside wall with information re the new artificial green.
