Another Round of Rotary

A hot afternoon for today’s rounds of Rotary played at the RSA and at our Levin Club.

Joe Johnson, our selector for this competition, had got the teams selected, two playing at the RSA and the other two at our home club.

The new Dales carpet was used this afternoon and was a new experience for most of the visiting teams. My team’s first game was against a Central Levin team and their players quickly took to the surface and drew shots, sufficient to give us a loss.

Our second game had us against a Shannon team and we managed to get a win, though they did their best on the last end to close the gap in the score.

Our other Levin team proved to be too strong for their opponents, winning both their games comfortably.

The result for our teams playing at the RSA were not so good with only one win being recorded.

At the moment I don’t know where our club is placed in this competition but I will report the results once I get them.
