The last night of competition in Business House Bowls took place tonight to find the winners of both Divisions. As expected some top bowls were played by teams in contention and the final winners will be announced next week.
This year the weather has been just great and has added to the overall success of the evenings and from the club’s point of view, it has been another successful activity.
This can only happen with the public taking part, and again the basis has been the 32 teams of enthusiastic non bowlers that have joined in, together with the assistance of club members who have played a part in running the evenings. Some are seen each week by the participating players but there are also others who have done their bit, eg peeling the onions, purchasing the raffle prizes, noting ‘special’ efforts by players, preparing the greens and setting out the necessary equipment required …and so on.
Next week will be the club’s special night of fun activities when we show you all our thanks. It will be a fun night with a special prize for the best dressed team. AND the winners of the two divisions will be announced.
