The Horowhenua Cup was played for today by teams from the KCBC at the Waitarere Beach Club.
I visited there to see how things were going, arriving just in time to see play starting in the last round.
In contention at that stage were three teams, each with 3 wins – Levin RSA, Raumati South and our club team.
None of the three was playing each other so all had a chance of another win and plenty of ends won could also play an important part.
As it turned out, RSA lost their game, Raumati South had a draw and our Levin team won their match against Waitarere Beach and were therefore, the only four winners.
Congratulations team, from what I saw, you really were playing well and deserved the Trophy.
