We are now starting in the 4th month of the year and the weather today for the Champion of Champion Fours was great, just like mid-summer.
Our men’s fours had a big win in their first game, 23-6 against Waikanae Beach but went out in the second round to Raumati South 8-19. That winning team has progressed and will be playing the final tomorrow against Central Levin.
Our women’s team had a first round bye and then went down 13-16 to Waikanae. The Fours finals will be played tomorrow and as well, the Men’s and Women’s Pairs will be completed. We wish our Women’s Pairs success.
Play at our club this afternoon was on the Dales green because the cotula green has been sprayed for nematodes and I understand that it will be reopened on Tuesday.
