It was such a beautiful afternoon for bowls today and all who played in the Roll-up, I’m sure enjoyed themselves.
Good to see our Associate Members joining us as well and I was told by one of them, how much they noted the improvement to the green.
We all appreciate the game of bowls and it was interesting to see how one of our members was trying out a new style of delivery. A very painful knee has caused Don a lot of trouble recently, especially when he stepped out to deliver his bowl. This afternoon he spent his time trying a new style, simply delivery the bowls but without stepping forward. It seemed to be working OK but how effective it proves to be, only time will tell.
I think it is great that our game can be played with a variety of styles, often caused by ones age or health.
