Today was the first Men’s Triples Gala rFo the season and it was disappointing that there were only 4 teams entered, and these were only from our club.
Certainly the event has not been a common one for us but it was hoped that members of other clubs might join in the gala; teams from our club do take part in similar events in the Centre.
Even though only four teams, the gala was held, the teams playing a round robin tournament of ten ends per game.
The result was:
1st Ken Hayward, Roy James Ken Smyth 3 wins
2nd Bill Clelland, Ian Upston, Vern Murphy – 2 wins.
3rd Joe Wnek, Stafford Ball, Trevor Turnbull – 1 win

Alan Shanks, Rex Spicer, Omeka Feaunati !!
It will be interesting to see if more entries are received when the event next takes place on Wednesday 9th November.
