A Busy Friday

Cool, but at least it was fine for the Waiopehu College pupils this morning.

Because others in the group were otherwise engaged, Margaret and I had only four to have on the green so we decided that they would play Singles – four bowls each gave them more playing time.

I was impressed how well they were delivering their bowls and generally were taking good green. Finding the weight was more often than not the problem with the green running fast this morning.

Next lessons will be on Monday so will see how they go in the sunny weather that I am sure must arrive.

Also at the club were Marion and Stafford doing the cleaning duties and on the cotula green, Omeka was giving it another cut. Later, Stafford was going to give the green one or more rolls, and it is hoped that it will be running well enough so that tomorrow’s 2x4x2 competition can be played on it.
