The Seddon Shield event was held at our club today. This is a competition between clubs in the Centre, each having 2 mixed teams, ‘selected to consist of the strongest combinations available of the club’s administration and other workers.’
The games were played on both greens and it was great to hear from players on the cotula green commenting on how well the green was playing. It certainly looked the best and comments I had from one player, not only on how it was running, but he noted how even the edges of the green were top class.
Certainly pleasing to hear such positive comments and our thanks go to all who have worked on the green to get it up to its present high standard.

At the end of play, the winning team presented with the Seddon Shield was Paraparaumu Beach A. They had won their four games with 29 ends.
Our Levin B team skipped by Neville also won their four games but with only 24 ends, and were placed second.
