It seemed to inspire some bowlers’ play and in our first game, Hazel Rose, skipping our opponents team, played really great bowls. As well, her other two players, the Shorts, also played well. We were lucky to get one shot on the last end. They must have run into stronger teams later for they didn’t end up in the winning teams
We did a bit better in the 2nd game and managed a win but reverted to our poor play in the last game and had our second loss. Most impressive in this game was their lead, Marion Ball who lead very well indeed. She certainly started many ends by giving us a headache.
We better go to the roll-up tomorrow and see if we can find a bit of form.
