The club thanks Kingston & Kemp Ltd (Plumbing) for the donation of mats for use on our greens. They were purchased from Drakes Pride, noted for making bowls, and will be a great asset in replacing the present mats. They are getting old and have a tendency to lift on the corners and quite often a bowler has tripped because of that.
The new mats are yellow, quite light in weight and suit both our natural and artificial greens.
A player often seen on our greens (Diana) is also to be thanked for getting this donation – A big smile from us all, Diana.
Ken Hayward delivered them this afternoon and is seen here trying one out. Used by us after that, proved their worth.
