Late last night I went to the Nationals bowls site to see how the day had gone and it just showed me how little I knew about the event from my point of view. The days results in the Pairs had been listed and showed me that I wasn’t aware that two other teams from our club had entered the event.
Sorry Rob, Barnaby, Shoota and Robert, just as well I found out so that I can happily write about how three club teams had done on the day and will be doing onwards.
So, Day 1 for our three teams proved to be a pretty good day with the following results:
Neville and Gary had two wins and a close loss, Rob and Barnaby’s first two games proved not so positive for them but their final game has got them under way . Shoota and Robert had a really good day with their three games each finishing with good wins.

Saturday now, let’s hope the weather in Taranaki will suit all events and I wish our teams good bowling for the day…as well as some more accurate notes from me.
