I didn’t play in the 2x4x2 Gala held yesterday but have heard that it was a hot day for all from the sky as well as some very hot competition on the green.
The information I received was that there was no four winner but there was strong play from the ‘three wins’ teams to take out the prizes.
RESULTS:
1st Fred Adams & Joan Hayward – 3 wins – 26 ends
2nd Dianne Short & Omeka – 3 wins – 22 ends
3rd Margaret Griffin & Keith West – 3 wins 21 ends (53 points)
Must have been a close finish – visitors Pat Taylor and John Randle also had 3 wins and 21 ends but missed out by having only 52 points.
