The Eyes Have It

Just like it was throughout today’s gala, “The Eyes Have It”

The players have delivered their bowl and together with other players, are keeping they eyes on their bowls so that they can see what is happening to them.
It was another Wednesday 11.00am start and as expected at this time of the year, not the best weather for our games. Still, all 16 teams turned up and without any hesitation, went out to play their first game of 8 ends.
After lunch, it was back to play another game, then followed by the last of the day. Certainly the wind was quite strong and affected a lot of the heads as can be seen by the photo below.

Hard to decide to which Jack bowls were heading for!!

Late in the third game, dark clouds over the coast could be seen, even a few drops of rain joined us. It certainly was black over the Tararua Mountain range to the east and a rainbow could be seen when looking in that direction.

But our games ended and it was inside to see just who won this week’s prizes.
