It seemed to be quite a nice morning as far as the weather was concerned, especially after last night’s wind and rain.
Off to bowls for the afternoon roll-up but as soon as I arrived, realised how windy and cold it now was. Luckily, my wind jacket was in my bowl’s bag but really, it still was a very cold breezy afternoon for play.
There was a good turn out of players and though the usual challenges were there for the games, it still was pleasing to finish and get inside out of the cold air.
Perhaps the highlight of the day for all would be the draw being made at 4.00pm for the teams that will be playing on Saturday in the Mixed Balloted Triples. Play will start at 9.00am.
Let’s hope the day dawns fine and warm for all who will be taking part. We wonder which green we will be playing on.
