Summer or Business House Bowls??
Both in fact; perhaps those in charge of our weather decided that it would help our new players in Business House Bowls, if they turned on a real summer’s day and evening. Certainly it was far more like what we think summer bowls should be played in.
Once again, both greens were filled, 32 teams (96 players), some old hands and some new to the game. Our club helpers had set up the greens, bowls were ready, the kitchen helpers had been at work preparing for the interval meal break and at 5.45pm our organiser, Brian Cooper welcomed all …. and then it was all go.
This first night was really an introduction for many, but prizes were up for winners. Tonight’s points will not be kept, starting the real competition for trophies and shields next week.
Prize Winners:
1st Colour Plus – 24 points and 18 ends
2nd Pesto People – 23 points and 16 ends
3rd New Vies- 23 points and 13 ends
It was just great seeing both greens full and from all the comments I heard, people were having a real fun time at our game.
