Women’s Balloted Triples

Bronwyn McMahon, Jenny Watt and Bella Law wins the Women’s Balloted Triples.  The women played a round robin with Bronwyn’s team winning all their game. Special congratulations to Bella for her first Club Championship.

First Club Champions Found

“Effective from this Saturday, Club competitions will affect the opportunity to have club coaching on Saturday mornings. BowlsNZ Club of the Year

The Clubs short-listed for the Club of the Year award were published on the BNZ website today. The are: Coopers Beach (Far North),  Brown’s Bay (North Harbour), Birkenhead (North Harbour),  Mt Maunganui (Bay of Plenty),  Napier (Hawkes Bay),  Levin and North East Valley (Dunedin). John Adams Fours team wins Waikanae Winter Cup

R.E.(Ray) Mitchell

Yesterday veteran member Noel Larsen rang  to tell me that one of our past great bowlers had passed away in Queensland age 102. He moved to Australia years ago and grew pineapples until his retirement. R.E.(Ray) Mitchell was the most prolific winners of club championships in our history.
