Club members will be saddened to learn of the death of Frank Rodgers on 24 January. Frank joined our club when he came from Christchurch a few years ago. Never in good health Frank always hoped to be able to come back to bowls and remained a keen supporter of the club and a regular at Friday night meals.

Going into the final round today we were one win behind Central but also behind on differential. However they had a bye which meant if we won all three games today and they lost one we were the champions. Neville Winiata passes away
Yesterday our Life Member Neville Winiata passed away after a long period of ill health. Neville was our club President in 1988 and 1989 and was a long time member of the Executive and served as our Greens Superintendent for a number of years. Details of Neville’s funeral have not yet been announced. Ken Hayward
