What was once a big event for the local bowling clubs, Central Levin, Levin and RSA combined with Levin Women’s, is now just played between Levin and Central.

Today saw the event played on the Levin green,  2 teams of 5 from each club being involved.

In the morning Pairs and Triples were played and in the afternoon, Fours and Singles (each Singles player playing two games while the Fours played one game of 21 ends.)

Generally, the games were close as can be seen from some of the scores.

In the Fours each club had two wins and in three of the games there were only two points between a win and loss. Perhaps the strangest score in one of the games was when Levin were leading by 26 – 4 by the 13th end and then stayed on that score while Central reached 24 on the final end. A close call for Levin.

The Triples and Pairs were also closely fought with both clubs winning two games in each section.

The Singles went 4 wins to 3 to Central with one other game drawn.

It was good seeing close competition between the players, all enjoying their day in the sun.
