This annual event was played at Waitarere Beach Club today. Our club was represented by N Turnbull (s), K Hayward, P Gardner and Omeka Feaunati and with 3 wins and 28 ends, came 2nd equal with Waitarere Beach.
From what I have heard, our team was doing well in its first game against Raumati Beach until late in the game but lost this match and that team went on to win all its four games to take the cup.
I called in for a short time to see how things were going and was most impressed with the condition of the green. Bowls were taking plenty of green and had good finish when arriving on the head. Those responsible are to be congratulated on the work they have done.
