A Mens’ Gala followed by Business House Bowls, saw a full day of activity at the club yesterday. Showers did threaten play after lunch but we managed to get through the four games with only a couple of short breaks and the cotula green was available for Business House in the early evening.
A pity that only 10 teams were entered but very good play by two teams saw them win all their games and take out the prizes:
1st Neville Turnbull, Bruce Shand and Shooter Ballinger
2nd Bill Moran, Wayne Larsen and Brian Anstis
The final night of competition for Business House was important for some teams, even if they didn’t know it, because the results from last night’s play would play an important part in who would take out the trophies in the two sections.

2nd – The Stooges – 23 points + 13
3rd – Chelsea House A – 23points +9

Next week the club gives all who took part over the last few weeks, a free meal, and we hope to see some teams dressed up for the occasion, a tradition over the last few years.
After the final raffle, prizes donated by the teams, the announcement of the winners of the two sections will be made.
