Another lovely day which brought closer the last of putting down the new carpet.
As well, although the Men’s Triples Gala had to be put off because of a lack of entries, a roll-up was well attended on the cotula green which is really running well, the best I have played on at this time of the year for some years.
It’s a pity we aren’t getting the support from other clubs with our galas, especially as our members attend similar events at other clubs. Clash of dates could be a reason but we certainly are sure players would enjoy a day out on our greens.

A strip of carpet is placed on another strip and then they are sewn together.
(the underfelt can be seen on the right.)

Once sewn together, the top carpet is pulled out to its correct place.

A non-bias bowl is sent down the green to test the pace of the carpet

The bowl is on its way beside the tape. A good run noted.
