It was cool, but the sun was shining on the Waitarere Beach Bowling Green this afternoon so it was ‘Go’ for this seasons start of the 5’s.
Our team of 5 – Fred Adams, Margaret Griffin, Alice Spicer, Liz Galloway and Ian Upston were in quickly in action with Fred winning his game of Singles but the 4’s went down.
In the second round, still played against the Waitarere team, the triples had a win but the Pairs missed out this time, so it was 2 wins and 2 losses for the day.
The green looked in good condition but because of the high water-table. the club is using scrim in the delivery area to protect the green.
